Staff roles in the mobile app
Which mobile shell and tabs each Lanlord role sees — owner, PM, bookkeeper, maintenance manager, employee, and contractor.
Overview
Lanlord ships one native app with persona shells. After staff login, the app calls GET /auth/me/mobile-context to decide whether you land in Landlord glance or Field worker mode and which tabs to show.

Landlord glance shell
- Glance — control center counts (applications, activation, payment follow-up, urgent maintenance) and optional financial snapshot
- Maintenance — org ticket list, status updates, internal notes
- Messages — unified inbox threads with tenants and renters
- More — account switcher, field/staff toggle, sign out
Bookkeepers see Glance with financial metrics; Maintenance and Messages tabs are hidden when the menu profile is bookkeeper or view_only.
Field worker shell
- Today — jobs scheduled for today plus in-progress work
- Jobs — full assigned job list and detail (start, waiting on parts, complete, notes, photos)
- Schedule — upcoming jobs grouped by date
- More — org switcher for contractors, sign out
Workers cannot access financial reports, team admin, or unassigned ticket queues in the mobile app. Use the desktop browser for full setup.
Switching modes
From the account menu, workers who also have owner/PM membership can toggle Field ↔ Staff without logging out. Contractors with multiple org memberships pick the active organization before jobs load.
